The Elementary Campus Teacher (K-6, all subjects) is responsible for shepherding a classroom of students and teaching in a self-contained classroom. This role requires excellent classroom management skills, self-control, a passion for education that cultivates love and learning, time management skills to complete assignments and lessons within the given campus day, and incredible communication skills (both verbal and written) to create relationships with staff, students, and parents. The teacher will deliver planned lessons in an enriching, engaging environment focused on providing learners with a fun, tactile experience. Lessons are planned and paced in advance, provided monthly, and should be held as scheduled. Additional enrichment ideas are supplied by the education team. Teachers can complete coursework as they deem fit for their classroom students during their campus day. Homework should only be sent home if necessary and with immediate communication to parents, adhering to Vine policy. Strong classroom management, a positive attitude, team-player spirit, and a willing heart are ideal. Belief in the essence of homeschooling and the ability to partner with parents as co-teachers, respecting their authority and educational priorities, are essential. High-level encouragement of students both educationally and spiritually is expected, with incentive-based structures favored over punishment- or consequence-based class structures. Communication between the lead teacher, director of education, campus director, and campus parents is pivotal for success. Class sizes range from 15 students (Pre-K) to 18 students (Kindergarten) to up to 20 students (1st to 6th grade), with the possibility of exceeding 20 students on rare occasions, but not exceeding 24.
