About The Position

Founded in 1971, Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) is one of Colorado’s leading Christian educational schools for grades K-12. CSCS is a private, non-denominational school accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Has or able to obtain an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certificate
  • Has or able to obtain CPR & First Aid training
  • Evidence of spiritual maturity and strong grasp of Christian education; ability to demonstrate true biblical integration through the subject area
  • Through effective communication, build healthy, effective relationships with students and families to support and enforce the biblical, whole-child educational experience
  • Works well with other teachers, support staff and administrators
  • Maintains a safe and orderly classroom to promote an inviting place for students to learn and to inhibit relational aggression
  • Is competent with tests, assessments, and the use of data in making educational decisions
  • Affirm, in writing, commitment to the Doctrinal Statement annually by contract

  • Participation in curriculum and staff development training
  • Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day as well as an occasional evening activity as assigned
  • Participate in before and / or after school activities as requested by Administrator
  • Supervises teacher aides and volunteers as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Effectively integrate biblical truths throughout academic teachings
  • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established curriculum goals
  • Employ a variety of instructional and technological techniques and strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students
  • Prepare appropriately for classes and show written evidence of preparation, including lesson plans
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning; includes appropriate code of conduct policy
  • Monitor and assess academic progress; communicate with parents and administrators regarding the progress and potential of students
  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records including grades
  • Coordinate and supervise class field trips
  • All other duties as assigned
