About The Position

St. Frances Cabrini Parish & School, a Roman Catholic Church and co-educational PK-12 grade school within the Archdiocese of Detroit, is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated Elementary School Teacher. The school has 1,500 parish families and 555 students. The mission is to educate the mind, strengthen the body, and form the soul according to the Catholic Tradition. The vision is for Cabrini Monarchs to be compassionate servant-leaders and confident missionary disciples. The Elementary Teacher, under the supervision of the Principal, is responsible for fostering the intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual development of students while supporting the mission of Catholic education.

Requirements

Strong commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Cabrini Catholic School.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Proficiency with educational technology and computer applications.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment.
Successful completion of criminal background screening and Protecting God's Children requirements.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited university.
Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate.

Responsibilities

Support and promote the Catholic mission and values of Cabrini Catholic School.
Integrate Catholic teachings and Gospel values into daily instruction and interactions.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
Create a positive, organized, and effective learning environment.
Assess student learning and communicate student progress effectively.
Establish and maintain high expectations for student behavior and classroom management.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and administration to support student success.
Participate in school faith formation, service projects, and community-building activities.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to school policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
