The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within an elementary school. All district employees must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance, support the district’s vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan, engage in civility, respect, and professionalism, and maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties. The teacher designs and implements appropriate instruction, creates a positive educational climate, develops relevant and rigorous lessons, utilizes diverse teaching practices, observes and evaluates student performance, manages student behavior, communicates with parents and staff, ensures student health and safety, maintains confidential records, and completes required professional development.
