About The Position

Cranium Academy is seeking an Elementary Teacher for 2nd/3rd grade. This role involves planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality instruction to students in a private school setting. The teacher will support the academic, social, and emotional development of each student, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment aligned with the school’s mission and values. The position is with Cranium Academy, part of the Endeavor Schools family, which operates over 100 schools nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification
  • Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Love working with children

  • Experience working in schools (candidates from customer service, healthcare, retail, and other fields may be considered if they have the required qualifications and a love for working with children)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools
  • Assess and monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments
  • Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance
  • Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive student behavior
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and character development
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and school events
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Help lead innovative learning activities that promote children’s development and growth
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
  • Monitor children’s progress and development
  • Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day
