About The Position

The Elementary Teacher at Mevers School of Excellence delivers instruction to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The teacher plans and implements lessons, assesses student progress, and fosters a positive learning environment. The position is full-time, exempt, reports to the Principal, and operates in a professional school environment. Occasional local travel for school-related functions may be required. The role uses standard office equipment and instructional materials; noise is typically moderate and may be higher during student-centered activities or events.

The position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable federal and South Carolina labor laws. Duties may change in accordance with the needs of Berkeley Charter Education Association and applicable policies. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of elementary education best practices.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Valid South Carolina teaching certification preferred.
