About The Position

The Elementary Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the foundational academic and social skills of young learners in grades K-5. This position is responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. The teacher will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards, ensuring that each student achieves their full potential. Collaboration with parents, colleagues, and school administration is essential to support student development and address individual learning needs. Ultimately, the Elementary Teacher contributes to building a strong educational foundation that prepares students for future academic success and personal growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of elementary curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in elementary grades.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid state teaching certification/license for elementary education in the United States.
  • Master’s degree in Education or a related specialization.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and integrating technology into the classroom.
  • Training or certification in special education or English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Familiarity with social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks and trauma-informed teaching practices.
  • Participation in professional development workshops or continuing education related to elementary education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans across core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and promotes respect and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, behavior, and ways to support learning at home.
