About The Position

The Supplemental English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher provides targeted, supplemental literacy instruction to elementary students who demonstrate a need for additional academic support in reading, writing, and other English Language Arts skills. The position works collaboratively with classroom teachers, intervention staff, and building administrators to identify student needs, provide evidence-based instruction, monitor student progress, and adjust instructional supports based on student performance. Instruction provided by the Supplemental ELA Teacher is designed to supplement, not replace, the core English Language Arts instruction students receive in the general education classroom.
