About The Position

North Wasco County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Grade 4/5 Elementary Teacher. Requirements

  • BA/BS or higher degree with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Reading, Early Childhood Education, or similar.
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License (Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements).
  • Skills to motivate students.
  • Skills to communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Skills to direct support personnel.
  • Skills to evaluate performance.
  • Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods.
  • Knowledge of state curriculum framework.
  • Knowledge of education code.
  • Knowledge of appropriate instructional subjects.
  • Holds and maintains an appropriate license and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon.
  • Displays a willingness to teach any qualified subject area.

Responsibilities

  • Developing students’ academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implementing District approved curriculum.
  • Documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes.
  • Addressing specific educational needs of students.
  • Providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
  • Providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

Benefits

  • Salary: $47,930-$95,933 (non-PERS)
  • Salary: $50,988-$102,055 (PERS)
