About The Position
Our organization is excited to partner with an Illinois school district in search of an exceptional Special Education Teacher to serve students in the 4th and 5th grades during the 2026–2027 school year. You'll become an integral part of a collaborative educational community, providing specialized instruction that reflects each learner's strengths, challenges, and goals. By working closely with classroom teachers, service providers, administrators, and families, you'll help implement individualized education programs while creating a classroom culture built on inclusion, encouragement, and student achievement. Success in this role comes from building engaging lessons, monitoring academic progress, adapting instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, and fostering a positive environment where students feel empowered to participate, grow, and succeed every day.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Genuine passion for supporting students with exceptional learning needs.
