About The Position

Help build inclusive classrooms where students can thrive and discover their potential! Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Schaumburg, IL to provide individualized instruction and support while partnering with teachers, families, and school teams to help students succeed. Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and curriculum modifications to students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals and services across Pre-K–8 settings. Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, related service providers, and instructional assistants to support inclusive instruction and students’ least restrictive environment. Monitor student progress, maintain accurate IEP documentation and data, and use evidence-based instructional, behavioral, and assistive technology strategies to address individual learning needs. Support the implementation of behavior plans and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, inclusive practices, and child development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, accommodations/modifications, and collaborative service delivery
