Elementary Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to empower elementary students with autism spectrum disorders in Litchfield Park, AZ, for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves providing individualized instruction and behavioral support in a structured, inclusive setting. The teacher will develop, implement, and monitor IEPs using data-driven practices, and utilize evidence-based strategies such as structured teaching, positive behavior supports, and visual supports to foster academic, social, and functional growth. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff is key to creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Experience conducting student assessments
- Experience applying evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support students with autism spectrum disorders
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support to elementary students with autism spectrum disorders.
