Position Overview Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom for elementary students with varying disabilities, including autism and developmental delays, using individualized teaching strategies and interventions. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals while using assessment and student data to evaluate progress and adjust instruction as needed. Teach academic, behavioral, social, and executive-functioning skills in a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence. Collaborate with IEP team members, related service providers, families, and general education staff to support student development and achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of special education teaching experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting students with behavioral and/or emotional disabilities
