TEMPORARY Elementary Special Education ERC Teacher - 1.0 FTE
About The Position
Culver School District is seeking a temporary Elementary Special Education ERC Teacher for the 26/27 school year. This position is ideal for a flexible candidate with excellent communication skills and a passion for instructing elementary-aged students. The successful candidate will utilize highly effective engagement practices and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs. A key aspect of this role involves fostering positive, respectful, and responsible interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and community members, with a strong belief in and commitment to inspiring every student's success. Building positive relationships with students is a priority.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Teacher License with appropriate endorsements for Special Education (not required)
- Knowledge of web-based IEP system
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a positive manner
- Knowledge and implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
- Skilled at Formative & Summative Assessment Practices that align with the CCSS
- Skilled at Differentiated Instructional Practices
- Skilled at Student Engagement Practices
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Special Education (preferred but not required)
- Additional endorsements preferred
- Knowledge of current concepts, methods and procedures for curriculum development and implementation
- Desires to be a part of the Culver school community outside of the classroom
- Other skills in coaching, club advising, leadership, student council, etc., preferred
