About The Position

Prep Academy Tutors – DuPage County is a premier provider of private, in-home academic tutoring. We proudly serve students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. We are seeking knowledgeable, reliable and passionate tutors to join our team. You will work one-on-one with students to support their academic success across a range of subjects, tailoring your approach to fit individual learning styles.

Requirements

All applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and meet at least one of the following:
Hold a valid Illinois State teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).
Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
Have 2+ years of experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school.
Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.
Are a Master’s or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.

Responsibilities

Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with the Illinois curriculum standards.
Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.
Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.
