About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy, a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, is seeking part-time elementary school teachers for 2nd Grade. The position is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, for the 2026-2027 academic year. Instruction is provided in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. While a teaching certification or formal experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have a deep love for the Catholic faith, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and be living the Catholic faith daily. Training will be provided on curriculum, grading, and classroom management according to RCA standards. The role requires preparation for classes at home and adherence to lesson plans in a highly structured environment.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

Responsibilities
