About The Position

MAC Abraar Elementary School is seeking applications for a full-time teaching position at the Junior Level (Grades 4-6) with a focus on English Language Arts for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8/12 (Elementary/Secondary Schools). They create lesson plans and a learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth. Teachers provide constructive feedback, instruct students in subjects such as science, literature, and mathematics, and develop a well-rounded, comprehensive curriculum. They establish strong relationships with students, motivating them to develop essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes that support their educational progression. Additionally, teachers collaborate with parents and staff to create a positive and supportive learning community.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), University Degree, or Master of Education.
• 1–2 years in a similar role.
• Provincial teaching certification (e.g., Ontario Certified Teacher – OCT).
• Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively fulfill the responsibilities listed above.

• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching competence.
• Mentor new educators and contribute to the training of future teachers.
• Adhere to school policies, deadlines, and regulations while demonstrating respect toward colleagues and administration.
• Comply with MAC’s ethical code of conduct, dress code, and the school’s educational vision and mission.
• Follow school guidelines for lesson planning, assessments, report cards, and both incident and achievement reporting.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times. Teachers are fully responsible for student supervision during instructional and duty periods, and leaving students unsupervised is a violation of this contract.
• Accompany their homeroom classes on school trips unless otherwise directed by administration.
• Actively participate in and initiate extracurricular activities, subject to prior administrative approval.
