About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time 5th Grade Teacher for a public charter school in Kansas City, MO. This role offers a competitive pay rate, a steady school-year schedule, and W-2 employment with liability insurance. The position is for the 2026-2027 school year, starting ASAP through the end of the school year, with full-time hours (1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday).
Requirements
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate REQUIRED
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred
- School-based teaching experience preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum.
- Engage students in interactive, project-based learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative classroom environment.
- Participate in school-wide events and activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Any other duties as assigned
