Requirements

H.S. Diploma or equivalency.
Ability to lift, carry, pull, push or otherwise move 25 to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform a variety of routine clerical and supportive activities for instructional personnel, and other related work as required.
As directed by the teacher, work with an individual or small group of students who have mild/moderate cognitive disabilities.
Make effective use of instructional materials and demonstrate effective methods of instruction to ensure that the individual student performance levels, needs, and abilities are addressed.
Exercise behavior management and maintain control of students assigned to your care.
Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals in the special education and general education classrooms.
