About The Position

SANY’s Syracuse Academy of Science Charter Elementary School is excited to announce the opening of a Lead Elementary Teacher role for the 2026-2027 academic year. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! New York State Certification Required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
New York State Certification Required
Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred
Experience with diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus
Prior teaching experience preferred and novice teachers encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum
Collaborate with staff to determine charter requirements for instructional goals, objectives, and methods
Prepare students for standardized tests relevant to the content area
Welcome the use of analytics and data to help drive instruction and promote learning
Appreciate regular feedback, accountability, and the rewards that come with doing a great job serving our students & communities
