The Elementary School Interventionist works with "At-Risk" student populations to provide remediation and support academic goals, aiming to increase growth in key areas. This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional, distraction-free home office environment during typical business hours (e.g., 9-5 or 8-4). The role involves modifying and adapting the K12 curriculum to meet individual student needs, collaborating with general education teachers, educating parents on instructional strategies, and ensuring the implementation of the Response to Intervention (RTI) system. The Interventionist will oversee data collection and progress monitoring, use data to inform whole and small group instruction, guide teachers in identifying students needing extra help, and maintain all RTI data. This role also serves as a daily resource for administrators and stakeholders on RTI issues, collaborates with various school personnel to coordinate interventions, and provides training and support to staff on RTI and data collection procedures. Additionally, the Interventionist supports teachers in documenting student progress, works with the special education team to facilitate eligibility, and may require up to 20% travel for professional development, student testing, or other school-related needs.
