Requirements

  • Certified teacher.
  • Strong desire to receive rigorous, ongoing professional training.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.

  • A willingness to receive and implement feedback regarding instructional practices.
  • Evidence of strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Train in evidence-based practices for dyslexia education.
  • Specialize and work towards further certification as a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT).
  • Comprehend the unique challenges of dyslexic students.
  • Acquire specialized instructional skills needed to help them succeed socially and academically.
  • Participate in highly collaborative lesson planning and teaching situations.
  • Train at the Dyslexia Resource Center while teaching to obtain additional certification in Dyslexia Education.
