About The Position
This position is for an Elementary Reading Interventionist at MOORE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, with regular and reliable attendance being an essential job function. The position requires the ability to maintain emotional control under stress, and involves frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Additionally, the role requires moving small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Certification for EC-6 or EC-4 (Standard, Provisional, or One-Year certificates only; ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify)
- Strong experience with at-risk / small group reading intervention and instruction
- Excellent classroom management
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher preferred
