About The Position

The Classroom Aide provides support to teachers and students to enhance the learning environment and improve student achievement. This role assists with classroom management, instructional delivery, and student supervision, ensuring all students have access to a safe and productive learning space.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work effectively with children under the direction of certified staff.
Must pass background check and complete required training.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with school-age children in a classroom setting.
Associate’s degree, 48 college credits, or paraprofessional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
Support positive behavior interventions and promote classroom routines.
Supervise students during class transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods.
Monitor student engagement and provide redirection when necessary.
Provide guidance and encouragement to students as they complete tasks.
Assist students with organization, materials, and classroom expectations.
Support students with mild accommodations as directed by the teacher.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-supplied classroom.
Take attendance or record student behavior observations as requested.
Assist with clerical duties such as copying, filing, and preparing materials.
Communicate regularly with the teacher about student progress and classroom needs.
Attend staff meetings or trainings as required by the school.
