About The Position

KUNA JT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 3 is seeking an Elementary Music Teacher for Indian Creek Elementary for the 26/27 school year. This is a part-time position reporting to the Principal. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a music education program that meets the needs of students, creating a positive learning environment, and evaluating student progress. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents and colleagues, attending staff meetings, and striving for professional competence and ethical conduct.

Requirements

Must possess a current Idaho Education Credential with appropriate endorsement.
Positive public relations skills.
Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.

Responsibilities

Perform school-related duties as assigned by the principal.
Uphold all policies pertaining to teachers and students.
Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons and communicating them to students.
Use instructional materials adopted by the district and employ appropriate methods.
Evaluate student progress regularly and provide progress reports.
Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records.
Accept responsibility for extra-curricular activities and other assigned duties.
Establish and maintain open communication and cooperative relations with administration, students, parents, and colleagues.
Attend staff meetings and serve on committees to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
Assist in the selection of instructional equipment and materials.
Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
Act ethically in all aspects of the teaching role.
Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Act ethically and confidently in all aspects of employment.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
