About The Position
Legacy Creators Academy is a small private school where students learn in multi-age classrooms with intentionally small class sizes. Teachers build strong relationships with students and collaborate closely with colleagues to create engaging, individualized learning experiences. We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator with a strong emphasis on English Language Arts. The ideal candidate values hands-on, inquiry-based learning and fosters a love of reading, writing, and literacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong understanding of differentiation and multi-age classroom structures
- Knowledge of effective teaching practices and evidence-based literacy instruction
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with project-based or thematic learning approaches
- Experience integrating technology into instruction
- Additional experience in art, music, world languages, or STEM is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Science and ELA across multiple grade levels
- Design and implement differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of academic abilities and learning styles
- Utilize small group instruction, project-based learning, and cross-curricular connections
- Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instruction
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide goals and interdisciplinary learning
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
