About The Position

Made for Math™ is an all-online math intervention service for families with students that have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism. We are dedicated to getting our students results and know that the work we do is life-changing for our students. This is a part-time, long-term position for experienced elementary teachers. The role involves meeting with students in 25 to 55-minute sessions weekly, primarily in the mornings (Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 12 PM Eastern Time), and attending a weekly work meeting on Mondays at 4 PM Eastern Time. Responsibilities include assessing students using a game-centered assessment, curating lesson plans, tracking student progress, and communicating with parents. The company utilizes a structured and systematic math method to help students reach their highest potential. This is a W-2 position with pay during training and learning the company's methods. The hourly pay rate is $22.50. While remote, the company only hires in Arizona, Florida, Idaho, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or other Education related fields
  • Good communication skills with parents
  • Patient and can adjust to the mood of the student
  • Able to teach in a fun and enthusiastic way while also keeping the lesson clutter free
  • Have at least 2+ years of teaching experience
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 14 hours with students per week
  • You are paid for lesson planning/admin time for a total of approximately 21 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Meet with students in 25 to 55-minute sessions weekly
  • Work primarily in the morning (Hours are Monday-Friday from 7 AM - 12 PM Eastern Time and attend a weekly work meeting Mondays at 4 PM Eastern Time)
  • Assess student’s starting point using our game-centered assessment
  • Curate lesson plans tailored to your students
  • Track student progress and email parents to communicate progress
  • Attend team meetings (Mondays at 4 pm Eastern Time and other times as arranged)
