About The Position

This position involves working cooperatively and collaboratively with other professionals to provide math instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners. The role is split between West Kelloggsville Elementary and Central Kelloggsville Elementary for the 2026-27 school year.

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan teaching certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in an elementary school or equivalent environment
  • Current knowledge of research and effective practices in the area of math development and instruction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible, responsible work style
  • High level of planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Education with concentration in Math preferred
  • Bilingual skills helpful

Responsibilities

  • Provide math instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide and support math assessments and data analysis.
  • Provide professional development by training, coaching, and supporting teachers with math programs and instructional practices.
  • Coordinate math support and serve as a resource for teachers, administrators, and families.
  • Establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
  • Recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
