About The Position

Abilene Public Schools, USD #435, is currently seeking an Elementary Library Aide for McKinley Elementary and Eisenhower Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma
Excellent attendance record
Excellent communication skills oral and written
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Basic Computer Applications
Positive interpersonal skills
Willingness to guide activities for whole group classroom sections
Ability to direct various student personalities and redirect children who struggle to be compliant
Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by school district and building adminstration
This individual will exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community
A willingness and demonstrated abilities conducive to a continuous quest for quality education
