About The Position

Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) is seeking a teacher for Kids Care Elementary (KCE), a K–5 public charter school serving about 150 scholars. PLA teachers are responsible for helping scholars master academic and social skills, setting ambitious achievement goals, and holding scholars accountable for reaching them. The teacher creates a supportive learning environment, plans and delivers rigorous instruction, assesses mastery, tracks scholar progress, and intervenes or adjusts instruction as needed. The role focuses on ELA growth and student success in an inclusive school community. KCE’s vision is to cultivate academic, social, and emotional excellence through project-based learning, and its mission is to empower scholars to become independent, self-sufficient individuals. Teachers work with families and the broader community to support scholar success.

Requirements

Passion for working with students and families in underserved communities.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with appropriate endorsements if applicable.
Valid state teacher license or enrollment in a credentialing program.
Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment.
Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction.
