About The Position

This position is for an Elementary Education Teacher (K-6) responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills contributing to their cognitive, physical, and social/emotional development in the 21st century. The role requires the teacher to hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators license for their area of assignment or be eligible to hold one in Elementary Education (K-6). The job involves differentiating instruction, analyzing situations, using technology, managing time and behavior, motivating students, consulting with stakeholders, and monitoring student performance.

Requirements

  • Hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators license for his/her area of assignment.
  • Hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina Professional Educators license in Elementary Education (K-6).
  • Complete the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction online application.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an approved education program in subject area.
  • NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC Teaching License.
  • Strong background in North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards.
