About The Position

Elementary School Dual Language Immersion Teacher for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in Forsyth County, NC. The dual immersion program curriculum includes phonics, reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and social emotional development, and is conducted entirely in Spanish. An Elementary School Dual Language Immersion Teacher teaches elementary school students individually and in groups in Spanish, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests. They establish clear objectives for all lessons that guide the learning process toward the achievement of State curriculum goals. They create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning. They use a variety of instructional materials and media to promote language acquisition and cultural understanding. While evaluating student learning, they maintain appropriate expectations for all students, provide appropriate feedback, and revise instruction accordingly. They effectively communicate with students, parents, and the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher or foreign equivalent in Education, Language, Spanish, or related field.
• Hold a valid NC Teaching License.
• Native or like-native fluency in Spanish Language required.
