Position Overview: We are seeking a collaborative, student-centered, and solutions-oriented Elementary Dean to support our elementary program for the 2026–2027 school year. The Dean will serve as a key member of the building leadership team, supporting instructional excellence, student culture, and daily operations. In this role, you will inspire staff and students by championing high-quality instruction, including our problem-based learning (PBL) model, while supporting the intellectual and personal development of every child. The Elementary Dean works closely with the Principal to ensure a safe, positive, and achievement-focused learning environment. This role emphasizes student behavior systems, staff support, family communication, and the consistent implementation of school-wide expectations aligned with our mission and core values.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Valid Colorado principal or administrator license preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of elementary student development and behavior systems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Certifications: Teaching License - Colorado Department of Education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee implementation of school-wide behavior systems and restorative practices.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive elementary school climate.
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and support staff to address student social-emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Monitor student discipline data and implement proactive improvement strategies.
  • Partner with teachers to ensure strong classroom management and consistent expectations.
  • Support professional development related to student engagement, classroom culture, and elementary best practices.
  • Assist with supervision and evaluation processes as assigned.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for family concerns related to student behavior and school culture.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and guardians to support student growth and success.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with families and staff.
  • Assist with daily building operations including supervision schedules, arrival/dismissal, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with district and state policies related to student conduct and services.
  • Maintain accurate discipline and student records.
  • Oversee and support Instructional Assistants, ensuring effective classroom support and alignment with instructional goals.
