About The Position

The Elementary Content Coach will work with teachers to ensure the delivery of high-quality first instruction, increased rigor, and strong student engagement. This role involves supporting new teachers through classroom observations, feedback, and formal coaching cycles, as well as facilitating professional learning opportunities for campus staff. The coach will also support and guide the vertical alignment of instructional strategies across grade levels, model high-quality instructional practices, and assist with lesson implementation in the classroom. Additionally, the coach will collaborate with teams and individual teachers during planning meetings and classroom visits to ensure lessons are differentiated and aligned with the content scope and sequence and TEKS. Analyzing and interpreting student data to guide teachers in adjusting instruction and targeting reteaching is also a key responsibility. This is a probationary/term contract position for 187 days.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with the appropriate teacher certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful experience as a classroom teacher in the elementary school content area associated with the assignment.
  • Deep knowledge of the subject-area content and research-based instructional strategies/practices.
  • Capacity to lead content-area teaching teams for the purpose of improving instruction and student achievement.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
