About The Position

Pleasantview Elementary School is seeking a passionate and proactive elementary teacher for a 4th Grade position starting with the 2026-27 School Year. The ideal candidate will welcome, appreciate, and respect all staff team members, engage students, parents, and the community, and use student achievement data to drive instruction. This role involves working collaboratively with a grade level team to develop a school culture of pride and high achievement for students, and scouting resources beyond school to provide opportunities and access for staff and students. Eastpointe Community Schools is dedicated to transforming lives through a unique partnership with Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), and the University of Virginia’s Partners for Leaders in Education (UVA-PLE). This collaboration aims for rapid district turnaround by increasing educational expectations, developing a culture of support, and nurturing all students to address academic, behavioral, and interpersonal needs. The district offers Teacher Mentoring, Literacy Coaching, Extra-curricular Activities, after-school clubs/organizations, and Grade Level Teams. Students benefit from 1:1 technology, online academic programs, multi-grade level field trips, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or beyond
State of Michigan Teaching Certification or in process
Successful classroom teaching experience
Successful record of School Leadership
