About The Position
The Elementary Reading Interventionist is responsible for delivering high-intensity, research-based literacy instruction to students identified with reading deficiencies. In alignment with the Oklahoma Strong Readers Act (SB 1778), this role focuses on providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to ensure all students reach grade-level targets in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The interventionist works as a key member of the Reading Proficiency Team to analyze diagnostic data and implement individualized reading intervention plans.
