About The Position

Discover After School, founded in 2019, is dedicated to empowering children through after-school STEAM exploration. The organization has evolved from after-school clubs to comprehensive before- and after-school programs, integrating fun with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) to foster creativity and innovation. Having reached over 2,000 students in Orange County, Discover After School aims to expand its influence by opening preschools and cultivating community partnerships. Their mission is to create a world of possibilities for the next generation through STEAM, offering before- and after-school programming, seasonal camps, training and resources, and family and community events.

Requirements

10 hour health and safety training Via Pro Solutions Training
Previous experience in before/after school programs, education, or youth development
Strong management, leadership and organizational skills
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Effective communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Oversees each of their sites to ensure that the program is being operated in accordance with company policy and guidelines
Assists Site Directors in their area with problem solving and escalated concerns
Maintains confidentiality
Ensures that all sites in their area meet required deadlines
Conducts weekly site visits for Quality control and evaluation
Maintain consistent relationship and rapport with principals and administration
Plans upcoming meetings, events, trainings, or functions as directed
Provides additional support to other departments as needed
