About The Position

The Assistant Principal serves as a key member of the campus leadership team, partnering closely with the Head of School and/or Principal to ensure excellence across all aspects of school operations, academics, and community engagement. This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting the day-to-day management of the campus while helping drive long-term goals related to enrollment, staff development, and student outcomes. The Assistant Principal plays a critical role in maintaining a high-quality educational environment by supporting teachers, engaging families, and ensuring operational consistency. You will act as a visible leader on campus, helping to foster a culture that is safe, nurturing, academically rigorous, and aligned with Merryhill’s standards of excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field
2+ years in a school leadership, supervisory, or administrative role
3+ years of teaching experience
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teachers to improve instructional outcomes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with families, students, and staff
Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized campus
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
Ability to often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
Ability to regularly hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
