To help students learn subject matter and skills that will enable them to excel in a global society. This role involves meeting and instructing assigned classes, planning a program of study that meets individual student needs, and creating a classroom environment conducive to learning. The instructor is responsible for preparing lessons, encouraging student behavior standards, guiding the learning process, and employing various instructional techniques. Assessment of student accomplishments, diagnosis of learning disabilities, and ensuring student safety are also key functions. The role includes maintaining accurate records, assisting administration with policies, and developing classroom rules. Additionally, the instructor may be available to students and parents outside instructional hours, supervise instructional aides and volunteers, and strive for professional competence. Demonstrating the ability to communicate in more than one language or willingness to learn is also a requirement.
