Electroplater
About The Position
The Electroplater is responsible for the production of electroplated lids. You will get the opportunity to set up plating runs, determine proper barrel size, part load, and plate parameters to achieve the best overall balance between production efficiency and plating uniformity/quality. You will maintain the quality of plating, clean and rinse tanks, perform routine testing and adjust chemistry or replace bath contents as required for process control. You will be responsible for the safe and accurate control of precious metal inventory, existing as gold salt solution and as in-process gold plated lids, within the guidelines established by Inventory Control. You will maintain plating equipment at its best efficiency and keeps the facility in an orderly and clean fashion to assure optimum plating performance. You will maintain logs of mean gold and nickel thicknesses and adjust future run calculations for target thicknesses.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Plating/chemical background preferred.
