About The Position

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia (CCP) is seeking a full-time Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to work at their Phoenixville and Pottstown, PA offices. Travel to Philadelphia offices may be required. The NP or PA will act as a physician extender, coordinating patient care and providing high-quality, patient-centered services. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care, as well as advising on health maintenance and disease prevention. This role supports walk-in clinics, hospital rotations, and outpatient offices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Cardiology/Electrophysiology.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with medical emergencies brought on by stress testing and ability to react accordingly.
  • Computer knowledge is a must.
  • Experience with an EMR system.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all paperwork related to research.
  • Review and sign off on daily symptom and automatic alert events from MCOT.
  • Alert the responsible/ordering MD about new clinically relevant events.
  • Monitor and address complications and clinical concerns post-AFib ablation follow-up.
  • Track and document clinical successes and failures, including systematic monitoring (2-week MCOT).
  • Provide data and analysis to EP MDs to improve outcomes.
  • Assist patients with improved control and optimization of therapy for AFib risk factors (OSA, weight loss, HTN, DM, etc.).
  • Perform wound checks 1 week post-implant and respond to any clinical needs.
  • Input device and lead data into EMR.
  • Ensure registration into the Remote Monitoring clinic and verify process functionality.
  • Read, interpret, and address clinical issues from device remotes in a timely fashion.
  • Call patients for urgent APP or MD visits as needed.
  • Ensure each device patient sees the EP service twice per year, alternating visits between the EP MD and EP APP.
  • Monitor the EMR desktops of the 2 EP Doctors.
  • Assist with the in-office loop implant process.
  • Independently evaluate 14 to 16 patients per day, with 30 minutes allocated for device follow-ups and 30-45 minutes for hospital follow-ups or risk reduction clinic patients.
