About The Position
The Staff Nurse provides care for patients in the Electrophysiology Lab and Echocardiography (TEE/Cardioversion) Lab. The nurse works collaboratively with colleagues to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment. The role is based at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and is onsite, with a 36-hour variable rotating schedule and weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is required.
- ACLS certification is required.
- One year of Cardiac ICU experience or five years of Cardiac Step Down experience is required.
- Cardiology experience is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Intravenous conscious sedation experience is preferred.
- Echo/TEE Lab or Electrophysiology Lab experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
