In this position, you will support procedures in the Cath Lab according to physician orders while delivering professional, expert care to the patients we serve. Requirements

  • At least one-year previous experience in the field of electrophysiologic procedures in a Cardiac Catheterization/Angiography Lab is required.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of electrophysiology and in particular the electrophysiologic anatomy of the heart is required.
  • Understanding of the variety of electophysiologic equipment and their adaptation to specific generators and knowledge and understanding of multiple advanced mapping systems (currently ESI and Carto systems) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs support during electrophysiologic procedures such as diagnostic EP studies and ablations (with or without 3-D mapping) in the Cath Lab setting.
  • Scrub assistance, operation of electrogram monitoring and pacing software, electrogram data gathering and interpretation including measurement of intracardiac intervals, operation of radio-frequency generators, operation of 3-D mapping systems, operation of intra-cardiac echo and operation of programmable stimulators.
