About The Position

A leading healthcare facility in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Tech with strong Cath Lab experience for a 13-week travel assignment with potential for extension or permanent placement. This role functions as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, supporting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures in a high-acuity Cath Lab and EP environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, procedural knowledge, and the ability to maintain exceptional patient care and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Current ARRT Certification required
  • Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Certification required
  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course or exam required
  • Minimum 2 years of post-technical radiology experience OR 6 months of recent Special Procedures Technologist experience
  • Strong Cath Lab and EP procedural experience required
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and radiation safety standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of EP training program preferred
  • 5+ years of recent EP or cardiovascular invasive experience preferred
  • RCIS Certification preferred
  • Cardiac Interventional (CI) Certification preferred
  • Vascular Interventional (VI) Certification preferred
  • Previous Cath Lab or travel assignment experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of interventional workflow and equipment handling

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
  • Perform scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and hemodynamic recording duties
  • Operate cardiovascular imaging and interventional equipment
  • Support diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures
  • Prepare sterile trays and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
  • Assist with contrast administration under physician supervision
  • Monitor patient condition, comfort, and safety during procedures
  • Educate patients and provide procedural explanations to reduce anxiety
  • Transfer and position patients safely using procedural equipment
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation and hemodynamic records
  • Conduct routine equipment safety checks and maintenance
  • Support inventory management and supply coordination
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance and protection standards
  • Participate in EP program initiatives and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain readiness and functionality of Cath Lab and EP equipment
