About The Position

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Advance Practice Provider (EP APP) to join their dynamic Cardiovascular Team. The EP APP will work collaboratively with and under the supervision of board-certified cardiovascular physicians to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, focusing on the management, care planning, and treatment of cardiac patients, particularly those with arrhythmias. Requirements

  • Experienced Electrophysiology Advance Practice Provider (EP APP)
  • Experience in managing patients with complex cardiovascular diseases, particularly arrhythmias
  • Ability to interrogate and reprogram Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices
  • Proficiency in ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and radiographic imaging
  • Strong patient education skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Responsibilities

  • Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform detailed physician examinations
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Initiate, monitor, and adjust medications per the EP APP Practice Agreement
  • Manage patients with complex cardiovascular diseases, particularly arrhythmias
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and radiographic imaging
  • Interrogate and appropriately reprogram Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans
  • Provide pre- and post- procedural education for patients undergoing electrophysiologic procedures
  • Perform daily hospital rounds and coordinate with EP physicians between procedures
  • Serve as the main point of contact for in-hospital EP issues and patient needs
  • Coordinate inpatient EP procedures and antiarrhythmic drug initiation/titration with EP physicians and schedulers
  • Provide discharge education and complete necessary follow-up orders
  • Manage a daily schedule of approximately 15 patients in the clinic
  • Provide care under supervision and collaboration of on-site EP physicians
  • See patients for pre- and post- procedure evaluations, antiarrhythmic drug monitoring, urgent symptom assessments, CIED interrogations and remote transmission interpretations, subcutaneous monitor consultations, and routine electrophysiology follow-ups
