Job Title: Electrophysiologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Chambersburg, PA Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM COVERAGE DATES Ongoing coverage beginning May 11, 2026 Up to 40 hours per week once per month Additional coverage as needed for vacation PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: 16 outpatient per day; 10–15 inpatient Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Electrophysiology FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 270 EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Standard electrophysiology equipment Specialty Backup Available: Yes Support Staff Available: Outpatient clinical team and inpatient APP Reason for Coverage: Supplemental and vacation coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, for clean files and urgent needs Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per client policy REQUIRED PROCEDURES Pacemaker Implant ICD implant (traditional and subcutaneous) Loop recorder implant and explant Ablations including AVN, SVT, and AFLUTTER JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain Board: Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology DEA: Active DEA required with Pennsylvania address Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Experience: Prior electrophysiology experience required Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide electrophysiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings Perform and manage electrophysiology procedures and interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Evaluate and manage patient care across the continuum Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
  • Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Active DEA required with Pennsylvania address
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Prior electrophysiology experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
