About The Position

Boeing Northwest Electromagnetics Lab Team is looking for an enthusiastic Electrophysics Engineer - Radar Cross Section based out of Tukwila, Washington. BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including an Entry-Level or Associate level Electrophysics Engineer.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience working with electromagnetic fields, circuit theory, and/or wave propagation
  • Experience or education with electromagnetic theory and advanced mathematics necessary to perform or conduct electromagnetic analysis, design, modeling, and testing
  • Experience with electronic components/products design and/or analysis

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of interaction of electromagnetic waves with materials and geometries in a variety of mediums
  • Experience working with Radar Cross Section, antenna, and/or radome measurement techniques, associated test parameters, (such as antenna gain, polarization, frequency, bandwidth, pulse width, radar cross section levels) and limitations of each
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration and use
  • Experience in applying electromagnetic theory to develop new antenna and radome types and technologies
  • Utilizing scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Education or experience in one or more of the following C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Java, or Linux
  • Experience in laboratory testing of state-of-the-art digital, analog/mixed signal, and/or RF integrated circuits
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment including logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes
  • Experience using computational electromagnetic tools (CST, FEKO, HFSS)

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to support setup, testing, verification, and validation of cutting-edge low observable technologies
  • Support the maintenance of existing radars and support systems
  • Support the design, build, fabrication, and test of future radars and supplemental support systems
  • Develop future radar capabilities and applications for emerging cutting-edge, low observable technologies
  • Maintain and develop post-processing techniques based upon ISAR imaging
  • Support multi-organization management of a variety of programs while working in an agile environment
