About The Position

V2X is hiring a Temporary Electronics Worker I (2nd shift) to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is on a temporary basis for up to six months with potential to be hired regular full-time. The role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies. V2X is a global company with 120 years of mission support experience, focused on building smart solutions to integrate physical and digital infrastructure.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Proficient in soldering and cable assembly techniques.
Knowledge of electronic component identification and handling.
Basic computer skills and data collection for Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Good eyesight and color vision.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance may be required.
Must be able to achieve and maintain appropriate solder certifications.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred.
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) is preferred.
May require sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods.
May be exposed to solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds.
May require the use of visual aids (magnification lenses, microscopes) and personal safety equipment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, including Circuit Card Assembly, Cable and Harness Assembly, Chassis Assembly, and Mechanical Assembly.
Stuffing and assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) with through-hole and surface mount components.
Performing modifications, upgrades, and component replacement on PCBs.
Preparing wires and cables, performing point-to-point wiring, crimping, soldering, and assembling cable harnesses.
Assembling cabinets, chassis, and consoles, integrating electronic components, and performing rack assembly.
Potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
Follows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents.
Performs board and component preparation, soldering (both through-hole and surface mount), and touch-up.
Operates machines for soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and placing components.
Conducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection and testing.
May assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks.
Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.
