About The Position

Support the development and testing of advanced defense technologies as an Electronics Test Technician, where you’ll troubleshoot, test, repair, and support complex electronic systems and prototype hardware in a highly technical engineering and production environment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of electronics test, troubleshooting, or repair experience
  • Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance required at time of hire
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies at the component level
  • Strong understanding of: Analog circuits (amplifiers, filters, oscillators, power supplies)
  • Strong understanding of: Digital circuits (logic families, microcontrollers, communication interfaces)
  • Strong understanding of: Power electronics (linear/switching regulators, motor drives)
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic and test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Basic hardware fabrication and solder repair capabilities
  • Familiarity with laboratory, engineering, or manufacturing test environments
  • Ability to work on-site in a secure engineering or manufacturing environment

  • FCC 1st Class License and/or Solder Repair Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics assemblies
  • Analyze circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to isolate and resolve failures
  • Utilize diagnostic and test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators, and digital multimeters
  • Support engineering activities involving design, checkout, modification, fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototype electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment
  • Apply electronics theory including Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, transistor theory, op-amps, digital logic, and power conversion principles during troubleshooting and fault analysis
  • Identify and replace failed or out-of-spec electronic components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, and power devices
  • Conduct functional, environmental, and verification testing to validate repairs and system performance
  • Document failure analysis, root cause findings, corrective actions, and repair activities within maintenance or quality systems
  • Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, production, and quality teams
  • Assist with development of troubleshooting procedures, test plans, and repair documentation
  • Fabricate simple hardware assemblies and test setups as required
