Electronics Test Engineer
About The Position
Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to join their Hardware Engineering team. This role will report to the Team Lead, Electronics Design and will actively participate in all aspects of testing digital hardware for Silvus’ StreamCaster MANET product line. The position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in West Los Angeles. The successful individual will use electronics test equipment to evaluate system performance, compliance compatibility, and troubleshoot operational issues. They will also carry out hardware test execution, generate status and test reports, define verification matrices and internal specifications, review test result data, and recommend improvements to test strategies and techniques. The role also involves designing test fixtures, calibrating test equipment, and understanding the proper use and handling of sensitive circuits and equipment. Occasional local travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hardware test experience.
- Hands-on experience using test equipment such as bench top power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers.
- Experience with digital interfaces such as RS-232, USB 2.0, 1000BASE-T Ethernet.
- Experience validating power supply sequencing, efficiency, and ripple for DC/DC converters, LDOs and PMICs.
- Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to U.S. government contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities
- Using electronics test equipment to evaluate system performance, evaluate compliance compatibility and troubleshoot operation issues.
- Carry out hardware test execution and generate status and test reports.
- Define verification matrix and internal specifications of performance.
- Review test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing test strategies.
- Recommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance.
- Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.
- Understand proper use and handling of sensitive circuits and equipment.
- Perform other related duties, of which the above are representative.
